Our cybersecurity boot camps aim to equip students with the critical skills and knowledge relevant to a variety of cybersecurity careers.

Use software to strengthen digital data security by identifying weaknesses in networks’ security systems, patching or responding to issues, implementing threat protection measures, and creating contingency plans.

Protects computer networks from the rising threat of cyberattacks, and typically works in a military environment. Professionals in this role are in charge of performing specialized computer network defense duties, including infrastructure support, incident response, auditing, and managing.

Performs assessments of systems and networks within a computer network. This can help identify where security weaknesses or policy, regulation, and compliance breaches may appear.

Proactively mitigates cyber breaches and improves response and reporting capabilities. Performs preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure that full operational capacity is restored.

Protects data and servers in a designated computer network. Implements firewalls and anti-virus protection, assigns passwords to servers, and puts restrictions on user access and activity to ensure network security.

Look at security from an organizational perspective as you dive into governance, risk, and compliance. Plus, explore how security controls impact an organization and its employees, and learn to communicate with non-security professionals and understand how teams interact in an organization.

About the Boot Camp

This boot camp, offered in partnership with edX, is made available through a unique consortium delivery model to provide skills-based learning to participants across New Hampshire and beyond. Participants will be taught by a university-approved instructor, while learning alongside students from other consortium-participating universities and institutions. Upon meeting the completion requirements, participants will be issued a Certificate of Completion by UNH Professional Development & Training.

No, the program is offered through UNH Professional Development & Continuing Education so you do not need to be a UNH student to enroll in the cybersecurity boot camp.

No previous experience is required. We have pre-course tutorials in place to help you prepare for the cybersecurity boot camp.

The part-time cybersecurity program is six months (24 weeks) long.
